Char-Crusted Chicken Breast Salad


  • 2 chicken breasts

  • Char Crust® Original Hickory Grilled or Hickory & Molasses

  • Spring mix (or preferred greens)

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • ¼ cup red onion, sliced

  • Ranch dressing (or your favorite dressing)

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Lime (optional)


  1. Preheat grill to 400 F.*

  2. Coat chicken breast with Char Crust® Original Hickory Grilled (or preferred flavor), covering all sides. 

  3. Place chicken on the grill. Cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 165, about 10 minutes. Remove from grill and cover with foil. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes. 

  4. Chop tomatoes and onions. Toss greens together and add to serving bowl.

  5. Slice chicken breast and place on top of salad. Drizzle with dressing and lime. Finish with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.

Pro Tip: Because Char Crust® creates a dark crust, using a meat thermometer will help you get the perfect temperature.

*You can also cook your chicken breast in the oven, air-fryer or stovetop.
